ROSEBBY was born and raised in Pasadena, Chyannea Sky Hodges AKA ROSEBBY, has been an athlete, singer/songwriter, actress and is now being mentored by multi-platinum award winning artist, Ne-Yo, to become the next queen of R&B.
Growing up without her father, former NFL Star Chris McAllister, was a struggle as her mother suffered from mental health issues, and homelessness alone. To keep her away from the dangers of the streets, her grandmother pushed her in school and church – where she developed her talents of singing as well as in sports such as basketball. During 2008, Rose was considered one of the top singers at John Muir High, and a top prospect in for the WNBA at Pasadena City College.
Then, she became recognized as a hero, when she rescued her classmates on a bus from an attacker and was awarded by the Mayor of Pasadena in 2011. All the while she continued to drop a steady stream of music to her growing fan base. In Late 2022, she was introduced to Ne-Yo who quickly took the young songstress under his wing and mentored her while his manager, acclaimed film producer Charles Jennings of Areazone and Compound Entertainment, began to develop her talent.
Her visuals and musical production crew has included offerings from Hitmaka, Charles “Dre Line” Jennings (AreaZone Entertainment, Compound Entertainment), Sirr Jones (Pure Business Ent.), Aaron Kaye (Destiny Music Group) and more, guaranteeing nothing but quality from her upcoming project.
Rose’s rise to success is inspiring, and it’s been documented into a feature film titled: R&B – ROSEBBY AT IT’S FINEST which drops in the Summer of 2024.
